Abacus Maths:

Transforming your child into a Mathematics prodigy
Since visualization can be quite effective in enhancing learning, therefore, the modern Abacus tool, with its vibrant beads, has proved to be quite efficient for teaching young children mathematical operations. Besides, the sense of touch associated with the beads lets children treat numbers as non-abstract entities and thus helps them remember and retain information better.
Abacus Training:
Our Abacus Training program is uniquely and scientifically well designed to help in motivating children to a higher level of learning with fun and relaxation. During Abacus training one can learn addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimal and other arithmetic calculations without using pen and paper or calculator.  Abacus training can make a child faster than a calculator. One can learn tables up to 1000 or more with regular practice.
Abacus learning build confidence in a student in every subject not only in maths. It is not necessary to be a student for learning abacus you can also learn abacus as a teacher also. Abacus teacher training program is also available with us. After having the teacher training you can run your own Abacus classes.
Training in an Abacus class develops self-reliance. Once trained in the use of the Abacus, students learn to solve the arithmetic problems mentally without depending on tools like computers, calculators, phones etc., this is self-reliance. It boosts their confidence. Makes them competitive and ready and they invariably perform better. The brain of a child learning Abacus math learns to virtually manipulate the digits to reach the answer with accuracy and speed.

Abacus Tool:

There are many types of Abacus Tools from different times and places. In modern times, the most used Abacus tools are:
          Types of Abacus:
  • The Chinese abacus (The Suanpan). It may have 7, 9, 11 or 13 rods. Each column has 2 upper beads and 5 lower beads separated by a bar.

Parts of Abacus:

There are different parts of abacus like upper beads, lower beads, rod and frame. We need to know about all the parts to understand and use abacus accurately. We move beads up and down to calculate on abacus so if we know how to move beads only then we can find accurate result. And there is one more important part of abacus that is starting point we can call it unit place also. There are 4 to 5 starting points on abacus by using those points we come to know the exact place of digits that help us to get result faster than any other calculating device.

Age: To learn Abacus
The typical ages to start are 5-15 although you can start earlier so long as your child has a foundation on the pre-soroban levels which we carry. If you child is between the ages of 5-15, you should start as early as possible within that time range, but as long as you catch that window they can learn.

Abacus Levels/ Abacus Course Details:

Children from age 5 to 15 years are eligible to learn ABACUS. Abacus is a brain development program that actives both sides of our brain that helps a student to do multiple tasks at same time. They do not need to use calculator or computer to learn Abacus. Abacus Training is the best way for all children to learn how to calculate without using a calculator, pencil and papers. Children will have to sit Level examination in every Level. The pass mark is minimum 80%. Children will be promoted to the next Level after passing the earlier level.

(2) Abacus ADVANCE – 8 Levels (24 months program) from children of age 10 to 15 years.
       Course structure:
Training is imparted in eight levels.
  • Level 1&2: A child familiarizes himself/herself with the abacus apparatus using 34 formulas. It helps to create image a memory. Addition and subtraction is taught with the help of the abacus.
  • Level 3&4: A child will start to be Addition and subtraction mentally without the aid of abacus. Multiplication is introduced with abacus. Child will learn how to create tables.
  • Level 5&6: A child will start addition, subtraction and multiplication mentally without abacus. Division is introduced with abacus.
  • Level 7&8: At this level the child will be able to do addition, subtraction, multiplication and division mentally without the aid of abacus.
It has been proven that a successful and consistent child at the end of level 8 will be able to calculate 100 sums in less than 15 minutes.

Material used in Abacus training:

During abacus training we need Abacus tool and different books for each level (various types of books are available)

 6 +3 -4 +2 -5 +7 -8 +3 +5 -9 +1 +2 +6 -7 -1 +5 +3 -2 -5 +7 -9 +1+ 5 +3 -7 +2 -4 +9 -6 +1 +5 -9 = ?
In traditional method, it will take approximately 1 minute but in abacus, approximately 5 seconds.
So Abacus is a method that makes your child faster than a calculator.

Advantages of Abacus Classes:

Abacus Classes Improves Concentration & Ability to Perform Mental Math
Young kids have a hyperactive brain hence, it is very difficult for any teacher to keep them still and concentrated while teaching any lesson. The fact is that they have a very small attention span. Learning to perform Mental Math at an Abacus class enhances the child’s concentration level several fold as they have to listen carefully, and move the beads on a virtual Abacus that they visualize. This not only helps them to solve the sums accurately but also at an unbelievable speed.
Abacus also helps the elder children as its unique structure allows them to perform difficult and long arithmetic equations with their fingertips.
